FRIED TOFU, PORK AND CHICKEN BALLS IN BULGOGI SAUCE

Tofu is one among my many favorites when it comes to cooking and eating. I call it versatile comfort food because you can cook and serve it in many different ways. Plus the fact that tofu is very affordable and inexpensive. You just need to make sure you are getting the cleanest tofu in your favorite market or better yet score in the grocery stores if you are not sure about those tofu in the local wet market. This recipe is not the usual 'Tokwa't Baboy but instead I used a mouth watering sauce that successfully blended altogether.

INGREDIENTS:

5-8 pieces of the normal size Tofu
Any left over meat that you have in the fridge like pork, beef or chicken balls
Bulgogi Sauce (bottled available in Asian groceries and local groceries)
Cilantro or Celery

PROCEDURE:
  1. Fry the tofu until cooked (browned but not golden, light brown). Drain and and set aside.
  2. Then fry the meat until golden brown.
  3. Combine the tofu and the meat in a pan and pour over the Bulgogi Sauce.
  4. Simmer for a few minutes then toss some Celery leaves.
  5. Serve with Java rice and steamed lady fingers.
  6. Enjoy!!
